Catalogo Pronto is a small tool that reads a product catalogue in CSV format, flags errors and lets you correct data while keeping a record of changes. It runs in your browser: file processing takes place on your device.

What it is and what it does
The problem it addresses
A supplier file may contain inconsistent price separators, repeated product codes, missing fields or unwanted spaces. Catalogo Pronto makes these issues visible before you hand the catalogue to the person who will use or import it.
What you receive
A checked CSV copy, a list of issues, a change log showing previous and new values, and a printable HTML report. It does not replace human review: every correction needs a verifiable reason.
A concrete example
The code “00127” must keep its leading zeros. The price “19,90” can become “19.90” only after selecting a decimal comma and enabling conversion. A repeated code is flagged at every occurrence: no row is deleted. If a price is missing, the tool does not invent one.

Who it is for
Small retailers, agencies and independent professionals handling simple catalogues: one row per item. Use it to check a file without connecting a store, deliver documented corrections or discuss errors with a supplier.
What it checks
- CSV structure: present and unique headers, with the same number of columns on every row.
- Required SKU, name and price. Repeated codes after trimming outer spaces; uppercase and lowercase remain distinct.
- Non-negative prices with at most two decimal places. Zero prices are flagged; currency symbols and thousands separators are not interpreted automatically.
- Non-negative whole-number quantities when that column is mapped. Image HTTP/HTTPS URLs are checked for syntax only.
- Formula prefixes in cells and headers, including unmapped columns: catalogue export stays blocked until errors are resolved.
How to use it
- Open the demo or choose your CSV. Check encoding and delimiter; export Excel files to CSV first.
- Map SKU, name and price. Quantity and image are optional. Explicitly select the decimal separator.
- Analyse the file. Enable only the rules you need: trimming outer spaces and converting prices. Edit cells manually when a decision is required.
- Resolve errors, review warnings and confirm your review. Download the CSV, issues, changes and report before closing the page.
Requirements and actual limits
Version 1.0: up to 10 MB, 10,000 data rows and 100 columns. CSV or TSV, UTF-8 or Windows-1252 encoding. Verified on Windows with Chrome and Edge. The tool interface is in Italian; the HTML report is in French. This explanation is available in Italian, French and English.
Does not read XLSX or PDF directly. No variants, OCR, merging or automatic deduplication. Does not connect to Shopify, WooCommerce or PrestaShop or guarantee a successful import. Does not verify actual prices, stock or images. The recipient must check the destination’s import format.
Files and privacy
The tool processes data in browser memory without uploading it to a server. Work is not saved automatically: reloading or closing the page loses unexported data. The downloaded version also works offline. Website statistics are separate from the tool. If you request the service and email a sample, that file is shared with its recipient.
Prefer to delegate the cleanup?
Pilot service proposed at €89 for a simple CSV with up to 1,000 rows and 20 columns, up to three agreed rules and one revision within the same scope. Delivery: checked CSV copy, change log and report. Store import and out-of-scope issues are excluded.
Before the job: send a description and a 20-row product data sample without customer data, orders or credentials. Feasibility, price, turnaround and payment arrangements are confirmed before you decide. The price is neither an automatic charge nor a promise to accept every file.

Do I need an account or subscription?
No. The demo and local version require no account, API key or subscription.
Will the file automatically work with any store?
No. Checks cover the rules described here. Platform-specific fields, variants and import requirements need a separate review.
Which changes are automatic?
Only those you select: outer spaces and price separator normalisation. Missing values and duplicate codes still require manual decisions.
How do I get a PDF?
Export the HTML report, open it in your browser and choose Print → Save as PDF.
